What we do
Conservation and Restoration
We begin conservation of a work by sitting down with our clients to learn the history of the piece, its meaning to them, and the conditions in which it will be displayed or stored. We then perform an in-depth examination of the piece itself. Based on the interview and our evaluation, we produce a condition report and treatment plan that details the specifics of the work, any damage sustained, and recommendations for its restoration and care.
Upon receiving permission from the client to proceed, we begin the physical processes of conservation and restoration, either in our laboratory or onsite.
